For the first time in the UAE, TRI-C in collaboration with DHA is proud to bring the renowned team from The Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) in Boston, MA, USA, to conduct their world class workshop on Debriefing Skills .

If you are an educator, instructor, simulation technician or anyone involved in the field of simulation, this is a must attend course for you. This innovative workshop combines a day long immersive in-person experience with online learning that includes customized peer and mentor feedback.

COURSE OBJECTIVES Designed for busy healthcare educators with limited time, the workshop

Connects participants to a community of colleagues where they can continually develop their feedback and bedside teaching skills

COURSE FACULTY
DR. DEMIAN SZYLD – SENIOR DIRECTOR – INSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL SIMULATION – CENTRE FOR MEDICAL SIMULATION
Demian Szyld, MD, EdM is the Senior Director of the Institute for Medical Simulation and an Emergency Physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He trained in Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and was the first Simulation and Education Fellow at the STRATUS Simulation Center. During that time he completed a Masters in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. From 2011 to 2016 he was the Medical Director of NYSIM, the simulation center of the NYU School of Medicine and the City University of New York where he established a successful Fellowship. Dr. Szyld (pronounced “shield”) is actively involved in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and currently serves on the Board of Directors. Demian grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is fluent in Spanish and English.
DR. KATE MORSE – ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP & INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS)
Dr. Morse obtained her BSN from the University of Calgary, Alberta; her MSN as a clinical nurse specialist in critical care from San Diego State University; her Post- masters certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from California State University, Long Beach and her PhD from Villanova University. She is board certified as an Adult and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She is a past Jonas Scholar and National League of Nursing Sim Leader. She currently serves as the VP of Membership for INASCL (International Nursing Association in Simulation and Clinical Learning) Dr. Morse currently works at the Center for Medical simulation in Boston as the Associate Director of Educational Leadership and International Programs. She holds a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Her current interests include developing skills for speaking up and feedback in healthcare simulation and creating cultural change through simulation.
