SUMMARY OF COURSE

This workshop provides instructions on the indications and application methods of the vacuum dressing.
Negative-pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is a therapeutic technique using a vacuum dressing to promote
healing in acute or chronic wounds and enhance healing of second- and third-degree burns. The therapy
involves the controlled application of sub-atmospheric pressure to the local wound environment, NPWT appears
to be useful for diabetic, ulcers and management of the open abdomen which will be on the course.

COURSE OBJECTIVES Designed for busy practitioners with limited time, the
workshop will enable the participants to learn the following:
- Understand the NPWT Therapy
- Support Hands-on skills
- Support clinicians in the safe and effective management
of wounds with NPWT Therapy
